Pavilion

Since opening our farm for visits, we’ve had a funtastic run of visitors. From kiddie birthday parties to family gatherings, church groups, school trips, and special needs groups, we’ve welcomed a steady stream of people who enjoy the country atmosphere and the special animals that call our farm home.

One common thread among all these groups is the need for a comfortable space with shelter from the sun and the elements, as well as a flat, level area to set up tables and chairs. While our portable 10’ x 10’ pop-up tents have been lifesavers, they were only a temporary solution. They required setup and teardown for each event and were often too small for the size of our groups.

That’s why we decided to take the next step and construct a pavilion to meet these needs—and we’re thrilled to share that it is close to being complete!  The 20’ x 20’ pavilion features an open design with a gable roof and a concrete floor, and it overlooks our pond and the wooded area beyond. We hope to have it completed by early Spring.  It will include electricity, lighting, and running water, making it perfect for all kinds of events—maybe even small concerts!

True to our mission, the pavilion will always be available to our guests on a donation-only basis. No fees will ever be charged for its use, but we are deeply grateful for any contributions to help offset the costs of caring for our animals and maintaining this special space.

This has been an exciting but costly undertaking, with total expenses exceeding $7,000. Thanks to generous individuals, we’ve already received $600 in donations, but we still have a way to go to cover the remaining costs. As a 501(c)(3), all donations are tax-deductible, and with the end of the year approaching, this is a great time to consider making a contribution.

Businesses, groups, or individuals who donate will be recognized on a plaque at the pavilion as a token of our gratitude for their support.

Thank you for being part of our farm’s story and helping us create a space where memories can be made for years to come.
